Shooting in Kilburn

Police limit access: Brondesbury station to Gascony Ave/Willesden Road, Kilburn High Road.

Today in the early hours of this morning in Kilburn, North West London, one woman- Sabrina Moss was shot dead by Brondesbury Station. Her friend was also shot is still in hospital after they were out for the evening celebrating her 24th Birthday.
A man has recently been arrested.

The Guardian has talked of the rise in gang violence, but this hasn't been discussed by police at this time. Police have said these two ladies were possibly innocent victims in the "wrong place at the wrong time" when two men approached them on the High Road from Messina Avenue, which is also closed to traffic and pedestrians.

Shocking and very unusual Kilburn is ordinarily a great multi-cultural melting pot. Although a temper or two can flare on the slow moving people on the crowded high road, but I think most who know Kilburn would agree it is very shocking that there has been a shooting, and that someone has been killed.

And Bradley Wiggins winner of the Tour De France 2012 and Olympic medalist say's of hs achievements '"Kids from Kilburn aren't supposed to win the Tour and they're not supposed to become knights, either. Know what I mean?"

While local residents of Kilburn try to make sense of what's happened on their local High Street, Our thoughts are with Sabina Moss's family at this time, and her friend's recovery.

A woman who died after a shooting in Kilburn, north London, in the early hours, has been named as Sabrina Moss.

The 24-year-old was one of two women injured in the gun incident, at about 04:20 BST.
The second woman, also 24, remains in hospital where her condition is not said to be serious.
Detectives from Trident, the Met Police's gang crime investigation unit, are at the scene in Kilburn High Road.
No arrests have yet been made and local road closures remain in place.

The Quiet Enchanting, what stories can we tell to re-enchant our world?

Sometimes, just sometimes magic happens. By absolute chance I came across this free exhibition on the walkway in an area thats been pedestrianised, by Kings College London and Somerset House. My Octopus Teacher - Craig Foster in London!

One of the best things about being in this fabulous metropolis is the infinitesimal amount of people who visit, tonight we had a really special visit from Craig Foster. If you saw My Octopus Teacher on Netflix, then you know who Craig Foster is, the man who took us on those early morning freezing swims in the ocean kelp forest of South Africa. There, we see the plethora of connection, the bio diversity and the unavoidable emotional connection this man has found in the midst of utter burn out, with the eight-legged pink invertebrate of the ocean.
